I believe in Minimalism, in design and words. Subtle colours, textures, layers, work in sync to create a rich spatial experience. The focus is on a rich experience, enhanced by fine detailing.
Over the years, I have built my spatial planning skill, along with the ability for effective client handling and project management.

Recently completed: Independent projects
2018 -2019
Worked with Bijoy Jain on a series of installations for his show at Chemould Prescott art gallery, Mumbai, and at the second edition of The Sculpture Park, Nahargarh Fort at Madhavendra Palace in Jaipur.
Interviewed and wrote an essay on the Pritzker prize-winning architect Balakrishna V. Doshi, for a collector's edition book, Peerless Minds (Harper Collins).
Renovated a 2,000 sq. ft. lobby of a prestigious South Mumbai apartment complex.

2005 - 2018
Conceived, designed and executed projects, pan India, for Irish House, Bombay Brasserie, Serafina, Travel Club Lounge (T2 Terminal), amongst others. Created new concepts in tandem with graphic designers, contracting and services teams, as well as back end kitchen designers.Concurrently handled multiple projects.Oversaw all elements of production.
Design Consultant : Freelance Designer
1996 - 2003
Created bespoke residential spaces, collaborative and brand loyal corporate offices, as well as doctors' clinics, integrating functionality and aesthetics.
Steered clients through the design process to consistently exceed expectations.
Project Architect : Ratan J. Batliboi Architectes
1995 - 1996
Worked on several urban design projects, keeping the social/human interaction as the primary focus, including the Kharghar railway station.
